Reception Area

On this project, Baxter Studio was the architect, interior designer and sole consultant for the provision of a replacement reception desk and volunteers’ station, with new interior finishes, fittings, lighting & directional signage. The project had a very short timescale from concept to completion, requiring the sourcing and direction of a suitable fit-out contractor. 3D images were produced to help communicate the design to the NHS stakeholders. Careful planning of works at the main building entrance were required to minimise disruption to a live public/patient area. The new design incorporates accessible features and robust materials and detailing as the area is heavily used. The scheme was completed within the budget of £100,000.
